WORKS BEST WITH...
My barber uses this stuff, so I ordered some too. I take his opinion highly. It holds great, not too much shine, and lasts almost all day.
However, as some said before, I had no idea this was supposed to be peppermint. That just isn't the scent I got when I started using it. Very subtle. I'd love it if you guys would make the scent a tad more potent.
As with all Mister Pompadour products, I use the peppermint pomade on clients in the barbershop regularly, depending on their hair type and desired effect. The smell and hold of this product are fantastic and clients request where they can purchase it, often. Rinses our easily. Great work, guys! Fantastic product.
I like a product
I like the hold, scent and texture it gives but I am not a fan of the shine. I guess I preffer more of a medium shine.
So, let’s just start off by saying my hair is, at best, stubborn. Even so, I’ve learned over the years how to blow dry and flat iron it into submission. With curly, porous hair like mine, you need a product that will allow the hair to feel soft to the touch after heat styling it, but still give you a good base of control to build upon with a finishing spray. This product manages to do this really well.
In truth, this stuff is ALMOST perfect. I like the shine it gives my hair, and the fact that you can restyle the day after with a little finessing (without having to shower it out). It is for this reason the product gets 4 stars. Good job here-
However, the one major issue I have with this product is the super subdued scent. The name of the product is, “peppermint pomade,” is it not? Why then, is the smell I detect first and foremost NOT peppermint? It just doesn’t make sense. I understand not wanting the scent to be overwhelming, but I really would prefer the forward, lasting scent of my, “peppermint pomade,” to deliver on the advertised scent profile.
Improve on delivering 100% of what you’ve advertised in your marketing of this product, and I’ll gladly give an updated review.

Scoop a nickel-sized amount and spread through your palms or fingertips. Apply evenly starting at the crown and working towards the front. Apply to dry to towel dry hair for ideal results. Style with a fine-toothed comb for tighter, more controlled looks and a wide-toothed comb for wider separation. Add more if needed.
